About Bennie Wood: Bennie Ramon’ Wood works in all mediums.  Her own style ranges from Realism to Nonrepresentational, and it is bold, dynamic, and insightful.  She is a member of the Trinity Arts Guild, Society of Watercolor Artists, and Southwest Watercolor Society.  She has participated in several juried shows and has won numerous awards for her paintings.

About Barbara McFarland: Barbara’s subject matter comes from personal photos from her travels and objects she collects. The travel she has done and continues to do introduces her to history, cultures, and philosophies that have a major impact on her work. Her work involves the interconnecting strings that hold time and place together. She likes to experiment and find new ways to use materials, design practices, and color to help get her ideas across in her paintings.  Barbara belongs to many art organizations, locally and nationally, and is a signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society in Dallas, Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth, and Texas Neighbors in Irving. Barbara’s work has received numerous awards in local, regional, and national shows over the years and continues to do so.

Let the Painting Magic Begin!  All you need is La Craie chalk-based furniture paint, wax. a brush, and creativity.  The paint is earth-friendly and provides professional results. A variety of workshops are offered every month and are perfect for beginners or professionals!  

  • Furniture Make & Take – Bring your own small piece of furniture and learn to paint, distress and wax it.  You will take it home completed!
  • Make a Serving Tray – A mini project workshop where you will re-purpose an old cabinet door into a fabulous serving tray!
  • Chalk It Up – A mini project workshop where you will re-purpose something we have in our accessory stash into a useful chalkboard!
