The Texas Gypsies live band are a collection of well-seasoned players comprised of Grammy winners and musicians who have backed many of today's top jazz, swing music, and pop performers. Some of which are: The Blues Brothers, The Jacksons, Paul McCartney and Wings, Ray Charles, and Ella Fitzgerald. Also The Texas Playboys, Wynton Marsalis, Ray Price, Tony Bennett, Barbara Mandrell and more!!They are known for their unique take on Classic Jazz and Swing music from the 1920's Gatsby era to the 1940's Big band sound (Frank Sinatra- Dean Martin). They also perform the Parisian swing or Gypsy Jazz style (Django Reinhardt) and the Western or Texas Swing sounds (Bob Wills). They also write and play many of their own original songs with many of them were used in various films and TV shows! This "Retro - Eclectic" award winning band has established itself as a classy, unique and fun group!

            Through the MasterWorks Series, Arts Council Northeast and the City of Hurst present free performances on selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent of local, regional, and national artists.
